Olay Total Effects Pore Minimizing CC Cream Review

I'm back today with another beauty review! *yay*

It's been an absolute pleasure sharing new products in the market that might just work for you girls. I know I'm very guilty of not being active on my blog, but I do hope that whatever I share here can be of help. Definitely more on the handy and mobile Instagram :P

Recently attended the launch of Olay's new CC Cream - Total Effects Pore Minimizing CC Cream.

Combining 7 benefits in 1 pocket, the Total Effects Pore Minimizing CC Cream is the all-in-one multi-tasker that gives women a seemingly airbrushed finish all in one step! There's CC coverage for tone correction, pore-minimizing benefit, UV protection of SPF 15, and a lightweight / non greasy formula (oil free). It can be used alone or as a primer under make-up!

It's available in two shades: Light & Medium.

Here's a simple experiment that we were guided to do during the event. Liberally spread BB Cream X on the first feather, and Olay Total Effects CC Cream on the second feather.

Swirl both feathers in the water. We did it rather vigorously and after a few seconds, we realised that Brand X stuck very firmly to the feather and wasn't washed away by the water. Olay Total Effects CC Cream however, was 95% washed away with water upon vigorous stirring. It reflected how damaging creams out there may be to our skins, clinging on to our skin and clogging our pores, yikes! Clogged pores are quite a bit of trouble to our skins, especially if we apply make-up on a daily basis.

I've been using the CC Cream for about 3 weeks now and I must say I do quite like it (plus, I know it's not very damaging for my skin, that's especially comforting!). It's the perfect one-stop product when I do my simple errands because I don't want to wear too much make-up but I do need a simple coverage that's with sunscreen. I'll just have to top it up with concealer and I'l be good to head out.

However, on days where I need extra coverage, I'll dab on a light layer of compact powder, or, brush on some loose powder. The Olay Total Effects CC Cream only gives me a 3 / 10 coverage, and because of my oily skin, the product does make me oil after a few hours, and with a powder product on top of the CC Cream, it lengthens the matte look for another 1 - 2 hours more. -woes for living in a hot & humid climate-

My skintone suits the Light tone better, and I've brushed on a light layer of powder to set my make-up in the pictures below! ;)
