Etude House: Stay Up Foundation & Dear My Wish Lips-Talk Lipstick

Spring time is here, and new make-up from Etude House has landed on our shores.
Say hello to Dear My Wish Lips-Talk lipsticks, and Stay Up Foundation!

Featuring a new range of Wish Lips-Talk, with a rich and vivid color pigmentation, high adhesion (yay to lesser lip color transfer to whatever my lips touch!), and rich moisture. It melts into liquid upon application for a soft and vivid coloring. Creating moist and plump lips!

The texture of this new range of lipsticks is to die for. I love how creamy and pigmented it is, without being too difficult for women with dry lips to apply this on. It features enhanced moisturising function with increased amount of plant skin care ingredients to overcome dryness, a common weakness of pigmented lipsticks.  I do however recommend that you exfoliate lips for a smooth application. It'll really give you perfect lips after! ;)

(L-R : PK003, BE101, PK001)

Swatches of BE101, PK001 and PK003 on my hand.

Stay Up Foundation, an all new liquid foundation, developed especially to complete the skin with a smooth texture. The light foundation fills in between skin texture for a smooth finish, with a tone brightening effect.

Despite having a light consistency, it covers blemishes moderately well. I would say it has a medium coverage, and it most certainly creates an even and clean complexion after.

Creating a foundation is not solely for coverage. Etude House wants to create a multi-purpose foundation that includes benefits that's good for your skin! Stay Up Foundation has a soft moisture layer that prevents dryness and your foundation from caking up. With beneficial ingredients like Emelass, a sea flower that holds moisture, Raffinose, which works as a moisture barrier, Palm Seed Butter, for flexibility for healthy skin. You know your foundation is working as hard as you, to give you more perks in just one product alone!

(L-R : Rosey, Beige, Sand)

Rosey, a pink base, creates bright and radiant skin, and is recommended for pale skin tones. Beige has a yellow base and creates a cool and natural skin tone, recommended for red and irregular skin. Sand has a beige base and it creates lively and healthy sun-kissed skin tone, recommended for medium-toned skin.

~Spring Make-Up Look~

Let's start with a bare face, clean and well moisturized.

I chose Beige for my foundation.

Applied it to the left side of my face (right on the screen). You'll see a noticeable difference in the tones and coverage. I especially love the light liquid - matte consistency of Stay Up Foundation. It helps me feel like I've got nothing on at all!

And now, to even out, apply it all over my face!

Next, I'll use Sand to dab on at the corners of my face.
(You can skip this step if you're in a hurry)

Having a slightly darker color at the corners of your face creates a slimmer face shape. It's similar to contouring with a bronzer, only this time with a shade darker foundation.

Fill in your eyebrows.

I like to apply a little touch of brown eyeshadow on my lips to give my eyes a bit more depth. You'll notice that for a day look, I wouldn't apply too much eyeshadow. Especially since I have hidden double eyelids, it would not be too noticeable unless I close my eyes.

I love using the multi-purpose Play 101 Pencil to line my eyes.
I use #5, a pearly white to line the bottom of my eyes.

And #48, a shimmer brown color to line the top. I love brown eyeliners as opposed to black, for a gentler look on the eyes.

For some color to my face, I use the Disney Princess Happy Ending Belle Rose Cheek Blusher in #2 - Coral Rose Shine, for a light and healthy subtle blush.

It's not especially pigmented, but a sweet coral blush to your cheeks.

At times when I know I have to be in front of the camera, I'd brush on some highlighter on my face. I'm using Etude House Secret Beam Highlighter here. The colors are not well reflected in this photo, sorry! I'd apply this to my nose bridge and cheek bones.

Lastly, to end off the look, some lip color!

I'm using BE101 here for a a lovely nude-pink touch.
Nothing too dramatic, just a sweet pink for a simple day look.

Close up of the lipstick on my lips! :)

Switch your Spring Season look up with a bolder lip color, PK001.
A bold bright pink to add an oomph to your look!

I was really excited to receive the new Spring's edition make-up of Stay Up Foundation and Dear My Wish Lips-Talk from Etude House and after using and reviewing them, I'm even more pleased to be able to own these to play around with them for different looks. In my humble opinion, the make-up is truly worth checking out in stores.

The Stay Up foundation is my go-to foundation right now. I've always preferred the natural, light make-up look without piling on too much, and Stay Up Foundation hits the spot with its light liquid base, letting me glow and also know that my skin is also being taken care of.

Without a doubt, you'll fall in love with the Dear My Wish Lips-Talk's array of colors and consistency on your lips. My favourites are BE101 and PK001 for day looks, and a darker sexier color PK003 for a glamorous night / date look.

I've done my version of a light, casual day look, perfect for Spring. The next post on these would most probably be something more appropriate for Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year! Something more dramatic and fitting for dates and visiting! ;)

Till then!

xx
