Love in a bite!

Have you... tried these custard buns?! :D

Chanced upon them one day and boy they are quite a find! I don't know why they are called custard buns but they are more like salted egg yolk custardy buns (though they are sweet)! Simply delicious and I must warn you, they are addictive! So far, I've only seen two places in Singapore selling these sort of buns and I could eat them all year long without getting sick of these. Look at all the filling oozing out! The taste is really extraordinary and not quite like anything I've tasted before! I am getting so hungry after looking at the pictures... hehe! MUST TRY!

This might look seemingly disgusting but its actually foie gras with caramelised apple. A bite really takes me up to heaven! Okay I know foie gras are cruel and stuff and I'm being a really bad person liking this... but it's so, good, period.

As part of my reward for slogging out halfway through the semester, the bf promised to bring me to the beach. So he called along a few friends and its a beach volleyball date! Though I very much rather stay away from the ball... I am terrible. Quite afraid of it I must admit! My ultimate aim was to play frisbee that day! The bf was very very much obliged to accommodate frisbee with me and volleyball with the guys. Very sweet! :) His friends are too cute... offering us the best seats, or to stand in the area away from the rain. Perks of having a girlfriend? You get the best treatment from your guy friends.
Being in the sun, sand and sea, indeed is therapeutic. My soul feels rejuvenated. I do wish Singapore's beaches are cleaner, the sand is finer, and sea more alluring...
School blues, April's gonna be a terrible month. Let's enjoy the last few days and joys of March.

Mid March Mayhem

Have you ever wondered if there could be more to life? I feel like I'm losing the very drive that should push me on to live each day to the fullest. I'm losing the passion in what I love. The meaning behind every thing I do in school seems be faltering, or wait, was it ever there? I resigned to the fate of just working for projects that doesn't seem to excite nor drive me. Gosh this sounds like work already! 

With the recent death of my mom's uncle... who is pretty close to my family, and the sudden infection I've gotten, the past week has been a crazy depressing period. It felt really awful to have someone by your side, but that person can't be there physically for you. But everything's starting to look up now, I hope.

The weekends are finally here! I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for a nice date this weekend to cheer me up :)

Take me away...

Life might have taken a turn for the worst. School is beating me up. Lessons being cancelled ever so frequently. Lecturers being hell irresponsible. Last minute lessons. Ridiculous projects that seem to make no sense. And the list goes on. It is of course common knowledge that life isn't all that easy nor smooth-sailing. But at least make the pain we go through worth every bit of it. Right now, it just isn't worth anything at all... and I find myself questioning if this is the right choice. If I have the choice of relinquishing this agony. Though the only choice I seem to have now is to suck it up and let it go. 

I wish to take this negativity away and look at the positive side of things. I just want to let it go. It pains me to not be able to do anything at all but only to look at myself going down a path I very much wish to get out of. I really do not know what to do at this point of time. I wish hugs and love would just rain down on me and wash off all these unhappiness. I wish someone would make me so happy and inject happiness into my life again. I am drained, absolutely drained and jaded with life. It feels like if life were to end for me now, it would mean nothing to me. And I do not like that feeling very much. :(

The next two months are gonna be so dull yet busy... with projects and exams and events. Don't ask for an easier life, ask for the strength to go through whatever curveballs life throws us. Life isn't going to serve us on a silver platter. Life isn't always fair. You gotta work for what you want.
