Travelogue: Malaysia 2011 Pt. 1

Happy Fathers' Day! :)

Going for a nice Father's day dinner together with my family tonight... can't wait!

Had a impromptu getaway to Malaysia earlier this month! So exciting. First time going on a holiday with G and his family... heh. It was a KL-Fraser's Hill-Malacca-JB road trip... a first for me! One thing about traveling with his family is, they love exploring new places. They don't stick to the conventions... wherever they want to go, they'll go and try out new experiences. My family is a little more stick-in-the-mud. Good thing about that is, we get hotels to stay in! Bad thing? We don't see the world like we should. But more about that later... pictures!

Day 1 - Arrival at KL!

Smile boutique hotel! I really like that place. Its small, no doubt, but its clean, new and close to the monorail! Plus, it's really cheap too. Definitely worth a stay if you're on a budget!

Tried the new pirates of the carribean colors. Naise! And did the polka dots nails I've always wanted to do in Singapore, but found too expensive. It's so reasonably priced there! Makes me not wanna do mani/pedis in SG everrrr.

Got recommended to try this zi char place at one corner near the main shopping area of KL (Bukit Bintang) Kinda cool how you can look at the chefs prepare the food!

This has got to be the biggest prawn I've seen in my life. The size probably isn't exaggerated here... but in real life it was like WHOA. Giant prawns!! But SOOO JUICY! Plus the crispy noodles, so good!


















So Hongkongish! Shall try and see if I can take a similar picture in HKG hahaha!





To cool down from the heat... It was really bad. The heat I mean!



Day 2 - Jalan Petalling @ KL






Bought roast duck and beer to bring up to Frasers to enjoy!

A lot of interesting shops actually... wished I had more time to stay and check them out!

Hey Jude

It has probably been a month since the holidays have commenced and I'M LOVING EVERY BIT OF IT! <3 Though May was a month of labour... June and July brings in the summer fun! G and I have been having a lot of fun cooking these days! We have been cooking so so much... and enjoying every bit of it! The true delight for every chef, is to see people enjoy your food. Without him, I wouldn't be able to cook up good lunches for us!

Salmon, our favourite. This is baked with sea salt and seaweed seasoning. 



For the corned beef fried rice cooked earlier today!

And we have plenty more plans to try and fulfill during the holidays! Probably would try to add baking to the list! Neeeed to try to unlock the chocolate lava cake achievement! And would try to blog more often :P
