Chocolate fondue!

Back to those days as a child where you'd dream of eating chocolate so liberally like that! All the sweet treats in one time, at one go! The boy and I had a coupon, courtesy of DBS Multitude card for a 50% off chocolate fondue from Andersons. The chocolate is super "gao" and you might get a bit sick of it after a while, but the first few mouths are heavenly! Recommended for 4 people... hehe! Unlike, we two greedy people sharing one family fondue.

Touching on something more recent... the GE issue that has been hitting our shores and causing heated arguments among Singaporeans. Never has there been so many oppositions vying for seats in the Parliament (or at least the last time was a reallyyy long time), now, having so many different parties to consider about, people start to weigh the pros and cons, hence bringing about Singaporean's ugliest trait - Complain.

It's really annoying to see that such an election would create so much discontentment between Singaporeans. And because the PAP is the ruling government for the past (inserts number of years), the people see so much more to discredit and to be discontented about. For every single thing that displeases them, they complain, they bring up in the elections, pointing fingers at the government for their mistakes and for the many numerous decisions they've made, that ultimately makes living in Singapore so difficult. With this, I'm referring to the higher cost of living - inflation, GST, high housing, low salaries etc etc. I honestly doubt anyone in the government would purposely make it so difficult for the people. There are many factors that would lead to their decision, though its hard for me to pin-point out, but who wouldn't want to make everything cheap and accessible right?!

No one thinks about the good that PAP has done for us, the numerous things they have done to build Singapore up to how we see it now. It's not easy at all. And I would really love for those people who kept criticizing PAP, to stand up and go into politics. If you have so much to say and complain, then go and do a better job. If you can't, then shut up.

Aljunied GRC is currently one of the hottest contesting GRC in this election, and it's a pity I can't vote. I would really love to vote George Yeo in because even during the non elections period, you can see him going around, constantly involving himself with the youth. The PAP listens, but they also can't accommodate and please everyone. I trust that they hear and consider, and take up the feasible suggestions. If your suggestions are ridiculous and unachievable (due to some reasons), you can't blame them for it.

My discontentment with the Opposition mainly revolves around cheap talk and unrealistic goals. I can't deny that there are some good opposition parties and some good candidates, but I really don't want to see PAP's good candidates, who has had a good track record to get voted out just because Singaporeans want Change.

G's views on this elections are on the opposition's side. We see very, very different views about things. He being an idealist, and me being a realist. It gets heated up at times, but ultimately, his stand is, to have some Opposition candidates to stand in the parliament, to provide a check and balance. Which I agree and support. He however, does not see my point and meet my views about the PAP. But that being said, I am too much of a realist, skeptic, and everything bad. I think the worst of people unless proven. Though I am not entirely supportive of some things that PAP have said during this GE (mainly about other Opposition parties), but I will trust and ultimately, believe in their decisions.
